Special meeting invite March 1st at 6PM-7:30PM Outagamie County HWY D project

Public Involvement Meeting Project 599800 County D WIS 76 – County XX Town of Deer Creek Outagamie County has contracted with Westwood Professional Services for the design of improvements along County D between WIS 76 and County XX. The purpose of the project is to improve drainage and to replace the failing pavement. To improve drainage the ditches will be reconstructed and widened in some areas. Both roadway and driveway culverts will be replaced and upsized in many areas. Roadway improvements will consist of pulverizing and relaying the existing asphalt pavement and placing a new hot mix asphalt pavement and gravel shoulders. The existing roadway consists of 12-foot travel lanes with 3-foot gravel shoulders. The proposed typical section will consist of 11-foot travel lanes with 4-foot shoulders, 2 feet of which will be paved. The purpose of this letter is to inform you of an upcoming Public Involvement Meeting to discuss the proposed improvements. The meeting will be held at the Deer Creek Town Hall, W9698 County Rd F, Bear Creek, WI on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The meeting will be an openhouse format and consist of a brief formal presentation followed by a question and answer session. The intent of this meeting is to explain the concepts and possible impacts of the proposed improvement. As a project stakeholder, your input and feedback is important to the design process. At the meeting, you will have the opportunity to review the conceptual design and share your thoughts either on the comment form provided or with a project team member. Staff from Westwood and Outagamie County will be present to provide information and answer your questions. The County plans to acquire necessary right-of-way in 2022. The project is scheduled to be constructed by County forces as early as 2023. Final asphalt paving and finishing work is currently scheduled for 2024.
