Can anyone rent the town hall? Only residents of the Town of Deer Creek can rent the town hall.

How much does it cost to rent the hall? Hall rent is $75.00.

Can I mail the second installment of my property tax to the town treasurer?  The second installment of property taxes, which is due on July 31, must be mailed to the Outagamie County Treasurer.

When is garbage and recycling pick-up in the township?  Garbage pick-up is every Friday unless a major holiday falls on Friday (New Years Day or Christmas).  When a major holiday falls on a Friday, pick-up will be on Saturday.

Recycling is every other Friday.  See the calendar on the home page of the website to find when the next pick up will be.  Note, if any holiday falls during the week of our scheduled pick-up, our recycling pick-up moves to Saturday.  The calendar has been updated to reflect this.

Who owns the recycling and garbage carts?  The Town of Deer Creek owns the carts.  They remain with the home if a home is sold.

What happens if my cart becomes damaged or needs a new lid or new wheels?  Contact the town chair or one of the supervisors to arrange to get your cart fixed or replaced.  If a cart becomes damaged because it has been left on the road side for an extended period of time (more than 12 hours after pick-up), the resident will be responsible to pay for repairs or the cost of a  new cart.

How much is a dog license?  If your dog is spayed or neutered, a dog license will cost you $3.00.  If your dog is not fixed, the license cost is $8.00.

What information is needed to get a dog license?  Proof of rabies vaccination showing when the current vaccine expires, who the manufacturer of the rabies vaccine was and the serial number of the vaccine.  Your vet should be able to give you a print out of this if you don't have it.

Does my dog need to be licensed?  State Statutes Dog License Requirement (s 174.05) The owner of a dog more than 5 months of age on January 1 of any year, or 5 months of age within the license
year, shall pay the dog license tax and obtain a license.  So yes, your dog needs to be licensed unless it won't be 5 months of age in the year of licensing.

When do I need to get a building permit? Our advice to you is, always contact the building inspector, Mike Miller, at  (920) 428-3331 if you are doing any kind of remodel or building project.  He will be able to tell you if a building permit is necessary.
